John Carey is a professional bassist and in-demand performer in the New York City area.  His bass playing, singing and song-writing abilities have lead him to perform, tour and record with bands and artists of all musical genres, including rock, folk, funk, R&B, blues, fusion, world and reggae music.  John is recognized worldwide as one of the few bassists who can fit into nearly any musical situation, providing solid, song-oriented grooves, whether playing bass in a small club in NYC, out on the road, or recording in the studio.  His overall sense of professionalism combined with his quirky sense of humor and rock n’ roll life-style generate a creative and positive atmosphere within each musical situation he is a part of and makes him fun & easy to work with as well (BIOGRAPHY).
